Step into the lush and heart-wrenching sounds of Edzi’u. Based in Vancouver, Canada on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, Edzi’u is a non-binary 2spirit Indigiqueer femme whose strength of identity resonates through their music. This is what the indie scene has been missing—an innovative sound and performance artist, producer and composer who paints stories of the past, present and future. With a modern 80’s approach, Edzi’u’s new EP “Tunnel Vision” is a four-track ensemble that serves as a vessel for the stages of grief experienced at the hands of heartbreak. Throughout “Tunnel Vision,” Edzi’u masterfully weaves a tapestry of sound and emotion, inviting listeners to emerge renewed on the other side of heartbreak’s labyrinth. Edzi’u has a style and sound like no other, but feels familiar when you’re dancing along to their textures, community voices and words, and her ethereal voice.
